About Veronica

Veronica’s teaching and performance experience spans almost 20 years, including as a gymnastics coach, competitive pole dancer and instructor, various aerial apparatus and contortion. After teaching locally at Pole Divas in Melbourne for 10 years, Veronica dived into a full time performance career. Her love for travel and performing in circus variety shows has taken her across the country and the globe. Throughout her travels she’s taught workshops in almost all the places she’s visited as she loves passing on her knowledge and sharing her love of movement, flexibility and fluidity.

    Contortion Foundations

    1.5hr $70 pp 

    This workshop focuses on the drills and techniques needed to learn the foundations of contortion tricks/moves. Starting with a full mobility warm up, stretch and conditioning/ active flexibility to best prepare your body to bend safely!  

    Veronica will also teach you some drills specific to contortion poses to help you nail your chest or chin-stands, needle scales, walkovers, leg mounts and so on!   

    There will be:

    • A strong focus on bridge work, working on varying entries and exits including from standing, sitting and twisting into your bridge!  

    • Foundations for chest stands and varying entries and exits!  

    All you need are some blocks, yoga mat and foam roller.

  • Contortion Flow

    2hrs $80 pp

    Finding your flow, movement and fluidity through the art of contortion. Using simple poses, learn to flow through your transitions and connect your skills seamlessly to music. Learning to bend is not just about the final pose, but how you flow them together through movement and dance.

    Flex & Fluidity (Lyra)

    1.5hrs $70 pp 

    Learn some of Veronica’s favourite flowing combinations under, in and around the lyra. 

    From flowing shapes and spins under the lyra to fluid transitions into and around the apparatus. Learn to fluidly connect your tricks and find interesting shapes along the way.  

    Must be able to invert. Suitable for intermediate to advanced.

    Bendy Spins (Pole)

    1.5hrs $70 pp

    Based on spin pole, in this workshop Veronica will take you through some of her favourite bendy spinning tricks and combos on pole! Combining elements of contortion techniques and drills, Veronica will help you make the most of extensions and lines to maximise the aesthetic of your tricks.

    Veronica will also take you through fluidity of seamlessly connecting you tricks, with a focus on expression and finding new shapes along the way.  

    Intermediate level and above - inverting and outside and inside leg hangs recommended.

    Advanced Pole Workshop (Pole)

    1.5hrs $70

    Veronica will take her through some of her favourite spinning pole combinations, focusing on slowing down transitions and movement to allow for creative flow.

    Her static combinations have an acro influence, focusing on handstand transitions on and off the floor as well as some of her favourite tumbles.

    Hands, elbows, heads; Balances 101

    1.5hrs $70 pp

    Learn handstand techniques and drills off the pole to help you with your handstand tricks on the pole! 

    Veronica will take you through some of her favourite handstand, elbow stand and transitions on and off the pole using correct handstand techniques learnt from her years of teaching artistic gymnastics and training circus.

    Flexibility & Mobility (Stretch)

    1.5 hrs $60 pp (4 person min)

    Using her knowledge from contortion, pilates and yoga, Veronica will take you through some conditioning drills to strengthen your end range flexibility, making you stronger to push deeper into your flexibility training.

    Starting with a standing joint mobility warm up and moving through a lunge series and back opening to free up the whole body.

    Finishing with deeper and lengthening stretches such as splits, you’ll leave this workshop feeling stronger and freer in your mobility.
